Beginning with a brief survey of changes within the Army, and its campaigns, since 1945, the author goes on to examine in depth its organization and r6te today, with sections on each of its various Corps, on BAOR and on the Army in Northern Ireland and The Falklands. The next section is devoted to the Army’s weapons, vehicles and other equipment, from small arms to tanks, aircraft and missiles, including mines, night vision devices, radars, rangefinders and radios. Each is illustrated with at least one photograph and all vehicles and major weapons are accompanied by constant 1:76 scale plans. Finally, there is a chapter on uniforms and protective clothing, such as helmets, flak jackets and NBC suits, plus a combined glossary of abbreviations and index.
