The Urban Millers Point Village - Shirley Fitzgerald; Christopher Keating;Hale & Ironmonger, 1991, Hardback in Dustwrapper..
Condition: Very Good - in Good+ DJ. DJ slightly ruffled at the edges, lower panel slightly rippled, possibly by damp but no further evidence of that. Edges of the textblock very lightly tanned. Text bright and tight, with a slightly rippling to the heavily illustrated art paper.
A promotional book — the wrapper appears to have been added by the hotel to a book from a local history series. From the cover: “The history of Millers Point essentially parallels the history of Western Civilisation in Australia. Many would argue that its early history was not very civilised at all. However, it was always colourful. The Observatory Hotel now graces Millers Point, bringing with it an elegant mix of old world charm with unprecedented levels of personal attention and service. As one of the Orient-Express Collection of hotels, The Observatory is one of the 12 most distinctive hotels in the world. To stay at any one is a unique experience, for each belongs to a rare collection where the best attributes of location and culture are individually enhanced.”
