5th Impression. This study relates crafts as taught in schools to a much wider field - not just to education generally but to the whole environment. Certain conditions and modes of working are shown to foster the growth of sensitivity and imagination more than others and the value of these for the growing years and for adult life is stressed. In fact, craft is seen in close relation to art, but not co-extensive with it, having its own contribution and its own place.
