This book is about plant diseases. The agents which cause them, the factors influencing their severity, and the ways in which they are controlled. It aims to give advanced undergraduate and graduate students of Botany and Agriculture an up-to-date introduction to plant pathology. Probably for the first time in an introductory textbook on Plant Pathology, the subject matter has been grouped by types of disease rather than on a pathogen or crop basis. Thus the student is led naturally from a consideration of the observable symptoms of plant diseases to their causes and control. The scope of the book covers both tropical and temperate regions, an important feature, since many books are restricted to particular regions or countries. 374pp. Index. Bibliography. Size: 8vo Medium (8" x 5½" approx.)
