Condition: Good. Gently bruised at head & tail of spine and corners with slight fraying. Edges of the textblock lightly tanned. Frontispiece detached but enclosed. Previous owners inscription to the reverse of the frontispiece. Slightly fragile but text clean and tight overall but with a scuff to the first page of the preface.

From the preface: “This book is an attempt to bring before the reader something of the peculiar attraction of ‘the lonely group of Hebridean Islands which lie far to the west of the mainland of Scotland. Some of the chapters also tell of the charm of the Inner Hebrides and one or two treat of the Highlands of Argyllshire.
