These stories, which might be described as "Tales of Horror and Imagination", find their subject-matter among the fear and wickedness of the human heart. Some of them originally appeared in Bradbury's first collection Dark Carnival, long since out of print; they have been extensively revised for inclusion here, and six new stories added, including that brilliant satire on literary fame "The Wonderful Death of Dudley Stone".
