Trumpets Over the Sea: Being A Rambling and Egotistical Account of the London Symphony Orchestra's Engagement At Daytona Beach, Florida, in July-August 1967 - J. B. [John Boynton] PriestleyHeinemann, 1968, Hardback in Dustwrapper..
Condition: Very Good — in Very Good Dust Wrapper. Gently bruised at the head of the spine and top corners with commensurate ruffling to the dust wrapper. Price Clipped.
From the cover: “In July 1967 J. B. Priestley moved with his wife and his entire household into a rented house at Daytona Beach. Intrigued by the idea of his favorite orchestra’s cultivated brass and percussion competing with Daytona’s torrid honky-tonk, he had decided to record for posterity the second visit of the London Symphony to the Florida International Music Festival. During the month-long engagement he attended every concert given by the L.S.O., mixed with the musicians and their hosts, and took in the Daytona scene with customary acuity.
