Compiled and Edited by Fred A. Harrington, Jr. in Collaboration with Personnel of the Iran Department of the Environment. Of the 148 species of mammals that have now been recorded in Iran 112 are illustrated and described in the book. The rest are described, and it is hoped that the book will enable the reader to identify all species of Iranian mammals except those bats which require more detailed treatment than is possible in this book. Nevertheless all species of bats that have been recorded in Iran are listed and a representative of each genus is illustrated. Illustrated with colour line drawings. 90pp. Index. Introduction / preface by Eskandar Firouz.
