This is a book about geomorphology - the study of the forms and shapes which make up the earth's surface. A landform is an individual physical feature on this surface. There is an enormous diversity of landforms, from cliffs to canyons, from deltas to dunes, from pingos to pediments. Any specific natural landscape is made up of a collection of individual landforms. Each landscape is unique; there are, however, certain cornmonalities, and so we talk of desert landscapes, glaciated landscapes etc., in which we expect to find distinctive landforms. 208pp. Size: 4to Demy (11" x 8½")
