Peak District Walks 2: Long Walks for the Rambler - John N. MerrillDalesman, 1975, Paperback.
Condition: Very Good. Gently rubbed at the edges of the spine and wraps. Previous owners' inscription to the reverse of the upper wrap.
Illustrated with maps. From the author’s preface: “Apart from the three at the end, all of the walks are between nine and twelve miles long — just the right length to enjoy the countryside and have time to look at the various features. Half of the routes formed a B.B.C. Radio Derby series, titled ‘Walkabout’, which was broadcast in the summers of 1972 and 1973. The book is divided into two halves, one dealing with walks in the gritstone countryside and the other with the limestone areas. All the routes are circular, which means you can park your car in a village, walk in the area and return a different way to your starting point.”
